"The record of my individual struggle from darkness toward some measure of light"

Dylan Thomas was very much delighted with sound. This often brought him to the point of leaving out the other senses which would explain his lack of creativity in the topics of his poems.

Although Dylan's physiological life was cut short, you would not be able to tell from looking at all that he created. He lived through 3 wars and the great depression. After his death on 1953 he has been called Welsh's best poet although he was far more famous in America then he ever was in Wales. He clearly is a great poet to the point where many people believe that Bob Dylan(formally Robert Allen Zimmerman) renamed himself after this poetic mastermind.
